the benefits of a lack of understanding

"The wisest of all men, Solomon, could never think his way through to Peace. His vast understanding resulted in feelings of futility rather than in fulfilment. Finally, he lost his way and succumbed to the will of his wives by worshipping idols."
(Jesus Calling devotional, Sarah Young)

Solomon was always looking for the meaning of life. He was depressed because of the vastness of his understanding. This is such a reality check to the fact that: WE DON'T NEED TO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING! In fact it makes us miserable! Praise the Lord for having faith and trusting.

"That's why I've instructed you to trust in Me, not in your own understanding..."
